Welcome to the new website of 89 Chestnut Residence Council!
We, the council are here to help you make this an event-filled year of fun! We represent you and your interests only, providing you with social events, frosh week, monthly activities and the annual semi-formal. 89 Chestnut is truly a unique residence that deviates from the standard college dorm; we are a diverse community with residents from all over Canada and the world. The council reflects this diversity and we hope to make your residence life a worthwhile and extraordinary experience.
Every semester, each one of you will contribute a portion of your fees to our council, which is dedicated to making your residence experience one-of-a-kind. Even better, each one of you get a chance to have a say on what type of events that will be offered here on residence. Whether you want parties, residence-wide assassins, foosball tournaments, art exhibitions, culture-based events or charity events, we are here to help you arrange that. The council meets every two weeks on a Tuesday night at 10pm to hear you out and arrange activities and events that we hope will make your residence life even more enjoyable. Your opinions and input are always greatly appreciated and absolutely everyone on residence is welcome to these meetings to make contributions and help out.
So Chestnut Residents, explore the residence, get to know Toronto, mingle with your neighbors and have fun! If you need any assistance, feel free to approach anyone on this year’s council, we are more than happy help.
