Paddleboards

$800-1600+400 for a paddle, a little high-priced dont ya think. I was happy to learn… The main reason they're more expensive is said above: they simply contain wayyy more materials. Paddleboards are glassed much heavier, contain a ton more foam, and are currently especially popular, which also boosts the price a bit. A traditional longboard can go anywhere from $400-$1000 depending on the brand, length, and quality, so some of the same factors apply to SUPs. The fact that they can be a foot or two longer and about 20-30 pounds heavier influences the price as much as anything. Paddles require more expensive materials such as carbon fiber and as a result they can be a bit high-priced as well.

They are expensive – but in regards to materials they’re a lot larger than a traditional surfboard.
