For people with experience and has took singing lesson I long did it take for you to see results cause I want to take them but im very anxious dont know why but how long does it take. What I found out was – Just like with everything, practice is what makes you better. The lessons alone will not do much(except educate you in proper techniques) However, if you practice regurally, within the first six months you will begin to improve, and with persistance, your voice will be astonishingly better in one year. The longer you stick with it, the better you will become.

The Singing Lesson
February 22nd, 2012How To Sing Opera
February 20th, 2012
I'm asking because I currently sound kinda like Skye Sweetnam (a pop singer), but. . I would REALLY want to sing opera songs really well ( I LOVE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA AND BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) and plus, I dream of pursuing the stage. I can't really afford singing lessons. I think I found an answer. When you say "opera" are you thinking of musical theatre because Phantom and Beauty are both musicals, not operas. If you want to sing opera then yes, you'll need professional training in vocal technique and at least 3 languages other than English (e. G. German, Italian, French, etc). To sing musical theatre professionally, you'll need training as well but it is possible to do without the same level of training as an opera singer. You should study video or CD recordings of operas to see if that's the kind of music for you.

The ukulele is a very small guitar that originated from an island in Portugal called Madeira. This instrument was called "braguinha" in Portuguese. In 1879, travelers took a ship from the island of Madeira to Hawaii. Craftsmen who witnessed this instrument being played were fascinated and began producing it for Hawaiians. The instrument was nicknamed "ukulele," which actually means, "jumping flea. " It is also called "uke" for short.
Ukes are different from guitars in several ways. They are usually very lightweight and easy to carry. Original style ukes are easier to learn to play because they have fewer strings. They are also easier on the fingers. Ukes are, however, limited in the range of notes that can be played. They are great for musicians who want simplicity!
Today this instrument is still very popular in Hawaii and is being shipped to music lovers around the world. Let's take a look at the types and styles of ukuleles.
Four Types of Ukuleles
There are four standard types of ukuleles, which are concert, soprano, tenor, and baritone. The most mainly used type is the soprano ukulele. Each type, except the baritone, is tuned using the well-known tune/phrase "my dog has fleas!" This involves hitting the keys G, C, E and then A. The tenor type is one octave down from soprano. The baritone's tuning is accomplished using this order of keys: E, B, G, D.
There are also hybrid ukuleles being produced today, such as the banjulele (banjo body), taropatch (eight-stringed instrument) and ukelin. These specialty instruments are usually developed by individuals or specialty musical instrument companies. Some are even highly collectible today.
The soprano uke is the smallest at about 21 inches long. The concert uke is about 23 inches long. The baritone uke is 30 inches long, and the tenor uke is 26 inches long. The baritone and tenor ukes are more similar to regular-sized guitars, only with just four strings.
Styles of Ukuleles
Ukuleles may also come in a variety of styles, colors, and shapes to reflect the personality of the musician. Some examples of style variety are the Bushman ukuleles, which come in styles such as Jenny Soprano, Jenny Pineapple, Jenny Concert, Jenny Tenor, and Jenny Baritone.
A ukulele maker might use a variety of high-quality woods to produce the instruments such as Mahogany to give the instrument a brilliant finish. The shapes of the instrument may vary as well. Some resemble the regular guitar shape while others might be completely oval-shaped, similar to a pineapple shape, or have a piece "cut away" at the neck.
With prices ranging from $169 and up, anyone can own a ukulele. They can be ordered online for music fans that live in areas where the ukulele is not readily available locally. There is also a wide variety of ukulele strings and accessories such as felt picks, tuners, amplifiers, shoulder straps, strap buttons, tuning machines, ukulele humidifiers, and more. Whether one wants a cheap ukulele to keep around the house for fun or an expensive one for professional concerts, it's easy to find just the right style online.
Wholesale Ukulele
February 7th, 2012The ukulele craze has not reached Singapore as it has in the United States or Hawaii. However it is getting popular as there are a couple of music schools in Singapore which are actively promoting ukulele playing. In Singapore, the most popular music instrument is the guitar, so there are plenty of guitar teachers but less ukulele teachers. Some guitar teachers taught themselves how to play the ukulele, to meet the demands of ukulele lessons in Singapore. As such when you take ukulele lessons in Singapore, you can expect that your ukulele teacher can play both the guitar and the ukulele.
What can you expect from ukulele lessons in Singapore? First of all, once you decide on learning how to play the ukulele, you have made the right decision as the ukulele is one of the easiest music instruments to learn in a music school in Singapore. Ukulele lessons are easy as the ukulele has only four strings, compared to the guitar which has six strings. The music instrument itself is small and portable. If you check out the ukulele for sale in your local music store, you will find that the beginner ukulele is very affordable compared to other music instruments.
Before you start on your ukulele lessons in Singapore, you will need to select and buy your ukulele. There is a wide range of ukulele for sale, price starting from fifty dollars for a beginner soprano ukulele to a handcrafted one that costs thousands of dollars. You can ask your ukulele teacher in Singapore to advise you the type of ukulele to buy.
Now I will proceed to advise you what you can expect from ukulele lessons in Singapore:
Firstly, for your beginner ukulele lesson in Singapore, you will be taught to identify different parts of the ukulele. Your ukulele teacher will identify for you the tuning pegs, the four different strings on the ukulele, and so forth. You will be taught how to care for your ukulele. After each practice, use a cleaning cloth to wipe your ukulele before storing in the bag.
Secondly, your ukulele teacher in Singapore will teach you how to tune the music instrument. As a beginner, you will need to use a music tuner to tune your instrument. It is important to tune your instrument before you play, so as to be able to strum to a tune perfectly. As the ukulele is a string instrument, and the strings are in tension all the time, it is normal for the strings to be out of tune a couple of days after you have tuned it. The other factors that causes the ukulele to go out of tune is the strength which you use to strum the instrument, temperature differences and humidity changes.
Thirdly, you will learn how to position you finger to play on your music instrument. Where you position your fingers determines which notes are produces. You will be able to strum to a song with the combination of correct finger positioning coupled with strumming at the right time. With four strings on the ukulele, you can produce many different chords with different finger positioning.
Fourthly, your ukulele teacher in Singapore will teach you how to read chord diagrams. It may look very complicated to someone with no music background, but actually picking up different ways of playing chords is easy.
Finally, you need to have a grasp of rhythm and an idea of how to strum to the correct rhythm. Your ukulele teacher will demonstrate this a few times for you, and you will follow your teacher's lead. On your part you will need to practice and practice to perfect learning to play the ukulele.
Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitars
February 6th, 2012I have just started playing the guitar and I'm contemplating on what to buy. I'm confused between semi-hollow and solid body. The semi-hollow model that I'm looking at is the Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar As for the solid body electric guitars, I'm looking the following three options: 1. IbanezRG120 2. Epiphone G-310 SG 3. ESP F-50 Any ideas. Well, I have your answer. It depends what kind of music you play. Further, the guitars that you like are all over the place. I think of the Ibanez RG as a metal guitar. Same with the ESP F-50. I think of the Epi G-310 as a middle of the road rock guitar and I think of the Dot Studio as a Blues guitar. So, It really depends on what you are trying to play. Also, the Dot is a huge guitar. You might want something – well – not so huge and clumsy. Get the Epi. You should like it and it cover the most ground the best.

Can Anyone Learn To Sing
February 1st, 2012I've heard that while you cannot really extend your vocal range, with training anyone can learn to sing very well in the range they do have. Is this true. I think I found an answer. Off course anyone can, with practise, dedication to the craft, and with care. I started off with a one and a half Octave range. . Six years later, I have a three and a half octave range, going on to four. All I need to do now is strengthen my Falsetto and those elusive low notes. . I currently am at a D for the bass.

Ukulele Learn
January 30th, 2012
If you are considering buying a ukulele and taking ukulele lessons to learn to play the instrument, this article will give you some tips on how to play the ukulele.
Before I do so, here is a brief background of the ukulele. The ukulele originated from the nineteenth century from Hawaii. It is a part of the guitar family, the difference being it has four strings while the guitar has six strings.
The Ukelele comes in four sizes: soprano, concert, tenor and baritone. Different sizes determine the tone and the volume of the instrument. From Hawaii it spread to all over the world, with the soprano ukulele being the first to be introduced to the United States.
Now that you know some basic background of the ukulele, here are some tips on how to play the ukulele:

John McCarthy, Learn to Play Ukulele LEARN TO PLAY UKULELE - DVD Movie $19.99 |
First Tip:
The Ukulele is an instrument that is played through plucking the strings. You can opt to use your fingers to pluck the strings, or a pick. Ukulele picks are usually felt covered ones and are softer, as compared to guitar picks. Some people developed calloused fingers when plucking the strings, so I advise you to use a felt pick instead.
Some people who have a background in playing the guitar are used to strumming instead of plucking strings. If may take you a while to adapt to plucking the ukulele strings to play it, but once you get the hang of it, you will enjoy many hours of playing the ukulele.
Second Tip:
Since the ukulele has only four strings compared to the guitar, which has six strings, it is comparatively easier to learn once you have mastered the notes.
Before you start, you will need to tune the instrument. This can be done using an electronic tuner, or you can request your ukulele teacher to help you tune the instrument. Nowadays, an electronic tuner is very affordable. Alternatively, if you have friends who are musically talented and have an ear for tone and music, you can request them to help you tune your ukulele.
Third Tip:
Once your ukulele is tune, try plucking the strings and play it. I advise you to engage a ukulele teacher and go for ukulele lessons, so you learn the proper techniques of playing the ukulele. Once you have mastered this, you can then go solo and experhyment with the instrument to play your favourite songs.
Finally, once you have mastered the basics of the playing the ukulele, you will need to practise regularly. Practise makes perfect so dedicate some time each day to do so. Coupled with the guidance of an experienced ukulele teacher, you will be able to enjoy playing the ukulele very soon.
Violin String
January 29th, 2012
A violin string tuned to 485. 0 Hz is found to exhibit 2. 0 beats per second with a guitar string. The guitar string is then tightened, and the beat frequency is found to increase. What was the original frequency of the guitar string. I was happy to learn… 487Hz 2 beats per second means that it's a 2Hz different. Since the frequency of the beats INcreases when the string is tightened, that means that the string is already vibrating faster than the violin string.
